about
This Internship will give you an insight into the world of theatre & performance whilst using your technical gifting and creativity. You will work directly with the directors and will be managed by our technical designer developing and gaining new skills. Designed for ages 18+, and perfect as a next step for graduates, our internships are about more than just maturing your technical abilities; we're keen to see you also develop in your faith and relationship with God throughout the year you will spend with us. The internship runs from 14th September (this is flexible), like the academic year.
What will i do?
Your main role will be to run the technical side of our shows from our national tours to schools and even festivals. Each day is different, and work can vary from development meetings to maintenance. Artless Theatre Company is involved in all sorts of conferences, national events and special occasions throughout the year. In addition, you'll be a part of the work that goes on behind the scenes, with opportunities to pursue skills in sound design and set building.

What skills do i need?
Experience with sound and lighting would be preferred but isn’t essential. Throughout the internship you will be given professional training which will bring you up to speed with the systems we use. Along with identifying with our values, you'll be eager to develop in your technical ability and grow in your faith. You must be a team player who is happy taking instructions and working with others. You will be committed to living a Christ-centred, distinctive life of Christian witness in accordance with biblical principles.
What's the cost?
There is no cost to the internship but you will have to raise funds for your living costs. You will be hosted by a Christian family near our office in Romford, Essex.
